| Enough is Enough – Mental Health Awareness Rally |
Mark Staffing is proud to partner with SAIT and Spartan Controls to sponsor the “Enough is Enough” Rally, hosted by the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation. "Enough is Enough" is a celebratory rally and public BBQ to raise the awareness of mental health and help end the stigma of mental illness. It is being held at McMahon Stadium on May 31, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mark Staffing would love to have you join us to fight the stigma associated with suicide and mental illness! Mark Staffing is a proud sponsor of the Community Champion Award at the Human Resources Institute of Alberta Celebrating Excellence Awards. This award was first handed out in 2012 and was spearheaded by Mark Staffing to recognize the most outstanding volunteer contributions to non-profit or charitable organizations by an HRIA member within their community. One of Mark Staffing's values is supporting the community, so we thought this award was a great way to recognize an individual who is giving back. Congratulations to this year's recipient, Ross Gilker! Ross has raised funds through his cycle team, CycleTherapy, in support of a variety of charities including the Alberta Cancer Foundation, the MS Society, KidSport Alberta and the Association for Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured. Ross is a true example of a "community leader" and his tireless volunteer efforts make him a very worthy recipient of the Community Champion Award. |
| TEAM MARK Hit the Pavement for a Great Cause! |
Mark Staffing once again assembled the Top Corporate Team for the 36th annual Sport Chek Mother's Day Run and Walk that was held on Sunday May 12. This is the fourth year in a row that TEAM MARK has been awarded the Top Corporate Team title. With over 180 teammates, TEAM MARK raised just under $10,000 for the Calgary Health Trust Neonatal Intensive Care Units, bringing its grand total raised to nearly $50,000. Keep TEAM MARK in mind when making your 2014 Mother’s Day plans as we would love to have you join us next year as we defend our Top Corporate Team title. |
