• EVALUATION ASSESSMENT
  Prior to beginning a software training class at the MSS Business Training Centre you will complete a skills evaluation of the software package in which you will be trained. This allows us to determine which concepts you understand and more importantly which ones you do not. This skills evaluation is performed on a computer using a program that tests on a multitude of common software programs. Once your evaluation is complete, we are able to see where your strengths & weaknesses lie. 
  The advantage of the evaluation is to eliminate the typical classroom lecture
   scenario that usually leads to one of the following:
   
  i) More advanced students become bored while waiting as the class and
   instructor cover the more basic concepts.
   
  ii) Less advanced students become frustrated trying to assimilate the 
  information quickly enough to keep up with the class.
   
• SELF PACED COMPUTER ASSISTED LEARNING
  Self Paced Computer Assisted Learning is relatively new to the computer software training industry. Research indicates that adults who are “learning” are more likely to retain the information if they can do so at their own pace, which in turn makes the learning process easier and more enjoyable. Although the program is “self paced” and “hands-on” in front of a computer, there is always a facilitator available 
  to answer any questions or assist with any problems encountered. 
   
• FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
  At Mark Staffing Solutions we realize the importance of flexibility in scheduling your software training around a busy work schedule. We encourage you to utilize our training facilities at your convenience. For example, you can book Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons or Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Your choice, whatever fits your busy schedule.
   
  Current studies show that a four hour period is the optimum time for 
  retention and assimilation of studied material. As this is only a guide, 
  we encourage you to progress at your own rate. In conjunction with our 
  “in-house training,” we also offer onsite training and consultation, 
  customized to fit your schedule/work habits.
   
  Our training hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.* 
  (*Saturdays and after hours training are available upon request.)
   

POST-TRAINING ASSESSMENT
After completion of your software training you are evaluated one last time. This allows you to see the progress you have made relative to your first assessment and also allows us to evaluate our own training methods. It is paramount to Mark Staffing Solutions that you have learned and can use the information you have gained while in training. Should you complete your training and are still unsure on some of the 
concepts we will ensure that you are given time to go over and fully
understand those concepts before you leave.
